This policy explains how Intellect Medicos FZCO (“we”, “us”) handles your personal information when you visit or buy from shop.intellectmedicos.com. We are the data controller for this information.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and what you ordered.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and order history.
- Technical data: basic information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected by our hosting and site statistics tools to keep the shop secure and working.
How we use it
- To take payment, print and deliver your book, and send you order and tracking updates.
- To answer your questions and deal with any problem with your order.
- To prevent fraud and keep the shop secure.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We will not add you to marketing emails or WhatsApp messages from this purchase unless you have separately agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe from any marketing at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share what each service needs to do its job:
- Stripe, to process your payment securely.
- Lulu Press, our print partner, and its delivery carriers, to print and deliver your book.
- Bluehost, which hosts this website.
- Professional advisers or authorities, only where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they use recognised legal safeguards to protect it.
Cookies
The shop uses essential cookies to keep your basket and checkout working and to let you log in. Stripe also uses cookies to prevent fraud during payment. We do not use advertising cookies on this shop.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and then delete them. If you have an account, you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at dr.intellectmedicos@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are in the UK and not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
